#9 Kamchatka Peninsula: Russia
We told you all about the Death Valley of the West, now meet the Death Valley of the Russian Far East! Located close to a famous valley with several geysers, this is one toxic place!
The toxic gases spewed by the geysers are not merely unpleasant to smell, they’re downright deadly for any living thing it is exposed to. So much so that any plant or animal life here dies quite quickly upon exposure.
Any tourist that has ventured here has reported feeling progressively worse, with fever, chills, and dizziness a quick aftereffect of strolling down the peninsula. Sounds like a place we wouldn’t’ want to touch with a bargepole!
