#30 Death Valley: California, USA
Imagine 3000 miles of absolute barren desert, with not a single soul or drop of water in sight. Yep, that’s death valley for you. The valley is known for several mysterious deaths and disappearances of unsuspecting tourists.
The fact that it is the hottest spot on the planet (and no, we don’t mean that nicely) really adds the ‘death’ in Death Valley. It has recorded a peak temperature of a blistering 56.7 degrees celsius or 134 degrees Fahrenheit.
That’s hot enough to crack open an egg on a stone and watch it get fried in the sun! The punishing temperature is suspected as the prime reason for the deaths since it can easily cause heat strokes and dehydration.
