#5 Art Collection – Leonard Lauder ($1B)
Technically a donation, The Metropolitan Museum of Art received an extravagant gift in the form of Cubist arts that contained famous artworks of Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, Juan Gris and Fernand Legér, worth a total of over $1 billion.
The generous donor was none other than the cosmetic billionaire, Lenoard Lauder, who’s known for his passion for philanthropy and collecting rare artwork.
