#11 Fountain Encrusted With Jewels – Anne Boleyn (£18M)
The English Queen, Anne Boleyn, set an example of royal gifts when she gifted a table fountain to her husband King Henry VIII on the New Year of 1534. Designed by one of the greatest portraitists of the 16th century Hans Holbein the Younger, this fountain was the quintessential token of affluence.
Made of gold and silver and garnished with rubies, diamonds and pearls, this magnificent piece of art was a treat to the eyes of the royal guests. It pumped fresh rose water for the guests to cleanse their hands.
