#30 Dividend Stocks
One way to make passive income is by investing in stocks that pay dividends.
Dividends are like cash bonuses you get for owning shares of a company’s stock.
Established and profitable companies are typically the ones who pay consistent dividends.
Dividends are set on a per-share basis. So in order to make good passive income from dividends, it’s important to look for companies that
- pay them, and
- have a reasonable chance of sticking around long term.
One important thing to mention is that a company is not obligated to pay out dividends. In the case that the company is hurting financially, it can forgo the dividend all together.
