#8 The Tomb of Qin Shi Huang
The concept of the afterlife isn’t exclusive to the Egyptians. The Chinese Emperor Qin Shi Huang was obsessed with the idea of immortality and the afterlife.
His need obsession led him to be buried with anything he could possibly have required in his new life. This includes the infamous Terracotta Army.
Out of respect for the Emperor and preservation of the mausoleum, nobody can access the tomb.
Those against the excavation of the tomb state that modern technology would destroy the tomb if their try to uncover it.
The Chinese Government is strict in enforcing the rules to preserve their culture and heritage. So, maybe it is best to let the dead rest.
